“We have to rise above bad fortune. We have to be in the good and enjoy the good, study and work and adventure and friendship and community and love.”Joshua Prager
“Have you not known? Have you not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, does not faint, nor is He weary? His understanding is inscrutable. He gives power to the faint, and to those who have no might He increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall, but those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run and not be weary, and they shall walk and not faint.”
(Isaiah 40: 28-31)
The Whirlwind of the Corona Virus has left humanity wandering: Where is God? The storms of life can bring us to deep breaking points. We can feel so deeply broken that we may no longer carry the hope or strength to want to fly. As I read Isaiah 40:28-31, I understand that God is always the same; for He is everlasting, despite our storms and broken dreams. God can see the broken parts of your soul in isolation. For humanity has been called to global isolation, but God has not abandoned us.
During these last four weeks, I have taken time to pray and ponder; what is God saying in the midst of this global crisis. I will not claim to know exactly what God is saying or doing in this hour. However, I can see what His Word promises, and it is that our strengths will be renewed. The strength and power of God will give us the power to fly, run, and walk again. For I believe that crisis is truly an opportunity in disguise. Take this time of isolation, to speak to your Creator, and allow the healing to occur in your life through His everlasting touch. God can heal what no one else can! May God make you whole and strong like an eagle, so that as you are soon able to return to the world, that your soar be higher than ever before. For I do hear, the Spirit of Lord God saying, “Beloved, it’s Time to Rise!”
